Upskill your internal technical experts as confident and effective trainers

The Technical Train-the-Trainer (TTT) course is designed to support companies in developing the instructional and facilitation skills of their internal technical experts. While these professionals bring deep subject matter expertise, they often lack formal training in how to transfer knowledge effectively to others.

Offered exclusively as an in-house solution by Tark Edutech OÜ (in Europe) and by Maarifa Education & Training Systems (globally), this course empowers technical staff to become confident trainers, able to design and deliver impactful sessions for colleagues, customers, or partners. The course follows a modular structure and combines theory, hands-on practice, and expert feedback to ensure lasting results.

Our approach is tailored to the needs of learning & development departments and HR professionals seeking a reliable and scalable way to professionalize internal training.

Course Modules

The course consists of four stand-alone modules. Each module builds on the previous ones but can also be delivered independently if desired. All modules are designed for interactive, in-person delivery and combine input sessions, practice opportunities, and direct feedback from experienced trainers.

Module 1: Fundamentals of Technical Training

Participants explore the basics of adult learning theory and understand what sets technical training apart. The focus is on building a solid foundation in instructional thinking and motivation strategies.

  • Principles of adult learning
  • Understanding learners' cognitive patterns
  • Subject matter expert vs. technical trainer
  • Motivation and learning styles

Module 2: Developing Training Materials

This module equips participants with tools for creating structured, engaging content and training aids. Participants learn how to align content with learning objectives, apply instructional design models, and tailor materials to diverse audiences.

  • Instructional design (ADDIE)
  • Learning taxonomies in technical settings
  • Media and methods mix
  • Designing content for clarity and engagement

Module 3: Delivering Training Sessions

Participants learn to conduct technical trainings that are clear, motivating, and inclusive. This module offers extensive practice in presentation, facilitation, and managing participant dynamics. Online delivery formats are also addressed.

  • Presentation and facilitation techniques
  • Managing group dynamics
  • Motivation and learner engagement
  • Training delivery in-person and online

Module 4: Transfer & Challenging Situations

The final module focuses on evaluating training impact and handling disruptions. Participants reflect on feedback strategies, adjust sessions on the fly, and build resilience as trainers.

  • Evaluating learning outcomes
  • Gathering and using feedback
  • Dealing with disruptions or unplanned situations
  • Enhancing trainer confidence

Who Should Attend?

This course is for companies that want to develop the training skills of their internal experts. Typical participants are:

  • Technical specialists who conduct onboarding, product, or process trainings
  • Engineers or developers tasked with knowledge transfer
  • Customer-facing experts responsible for technical instruction
  • Anyone with deep expertise who needs to teach others effectively

All participants are already subject matter experts in their field. The course builds their capabilities in training design, delivery, and learner engagement.

Timeline & Delivery Rhythm

Training that fits your company’s pace

We understand that internal development takes time. That’s why our modular setup is designed to align with your operational schedule while still ensuring deep learning and lasting impact.

Each module requires approximately 3 full training days to allow for intensive input, hands-on practice, and professional feedback. This format gives your internal trainers the space they need to absorb, try out, and refine their skills.
  • Each module = 3 full days of in-person training
  • Recommended interval: around 8 weeks between modules
  • Optional short online prep sessions before each module
A pause of 8 weeks between modules allows participants to reflect on what they’ve learned, apply new methods in their work environment, and return to the next module ready to build on their experience.

To ensure the best possible customization, we recommend initiating planning approximately 3 months in advance. This gives us time to tailor the content, align with your internal goals, and prepare your participants.

Need to move faster? In urgent cases, we can also deliver the training on short notice—just reach out, and we’ll explore what’s possible.
